What Does It Cost?

We have made it simple to own art. Each share of an artwork costs 100 kroner. To make this work, we take fees on transactions on the platform. These fees cover the costs for the transaction, storage, insurance, documentation, and administration. Here is an overview of all the fees associated with buying and selling parts on Open Art Market.

For Part Owners of Artworks

Fees for Purchasing Art Shares

For those buying shares in artworks, we charge a fee of 10% of the price of the shares, plus 5 kroner per transaction.

Fees for Selling Art Shares

For part owners who sell shares, we take a fee of 10%, plus 5 kroner per transaction.

Fees for Selling the Artwork

For part owners selling, we take a fee of 10% of the winning bid on the artwork.

For Sellers of Artworks

Fees for Registering as a Seller

When registering as a seller on the platform, we conduct a fraud prevention check, which costs 100 kroner.

Fees for Registering Artworks

When registering an artwork on the platform, we charge an administration fee of 100 kroner.

Fees for Selling Artworks in Parts

When selling parts in artworks, we charge a fee of 10% of the price of the shares.

For Buyers of Artworks

The Art Fee

On behalf of the Fine Artists' Aid Fund, we collect a 5% art fee on the sales amount.

Fees for Direct Purchase of Artworks

For those who buy artworks directly, we charge a fee of 10% of the winning bid on the artwork.

Fees for Purchasing Artworks at Auction

For the person with the winning bid in an artwork auction, we charge a fee of 10% on top of the winning bid.
